Hi, I’m Hanna and I love being in the great outdoors! I started hiking in the UK just over 5 years ago, and I couldn’t quite believe the beauty our countryside had to offer, especially the Yorkshire area. Since then, I have been hiking up hills, wild camping on mountains, dipping in rivers and sharing my experiences on Instagram.
I love being surrounded by nature and going for walks, it helps me de-stress from a busy week at work and it gets those endorphins going! Yorkshire has such a variety of stunning scenery, from rolling green hills to hidden limestone gorges, there is something for all abilities and activities. I decided to go on one of my favourite walks in Yorkshire which starts off in Malham just 90 minutes away from York in the Yorkshire Dales.
The walk from Malham to Gordale Scar was my first proper walking experience in the UK and the moment I truly appreciated the UK’s stunning landscape. Although the heavens opened and chucked it down that day, it didn’t dampen my spirit! It only added to the experience as the waterfalls at Janet’s Foss and Gordale Scar roared from the rainfall.
What Hanna bought from York Designer Outlet
As the weather is still quite cool, it is important to wear the right gear outside. Wearing layers is a good way to dress appropriately for colder temperatures. There was so much choice for quality outdoor sportswear stores in the Centre such as Sweaty Betty, North Face and Superdry. You are literally spoilt for choice, but it had everything you could possibly need to start hiking in the hills.
The Final Hiking Outfit
I found a beautiful bright yellow puffer jacket at Superdry which I fell in love with as soon as I saw it and paired with a bright active sweatshirt from Sweaty Betty. I really liked the quality of the clothing at Sweaty Betty so I also got a pair of their high-waisted running leggings – they can be for walking too! A sweat-wicking base layer is a must when layering in colder weather, I found a seamless base layer top from Under Armour and purchased a North Face beanie – who doesn’t love a good beanie. The outlet prices were such good value, I managed to save £199 in total, which is over 50% off the RRP prices – amazing!
