NORDSEE - the quality promise

In Germany, NORDSEE stands for high-quality fish and seafood. The fish products come exclusively from responsible fishing. In addition, NORDSEE offers an increasingly wide range of fish and shellfish from organic aquaculture in stores with fresh fish counters.
Sustainability is an important concern for NORDSEE in all divisions, and the company sets the highest standards here. This applies to the development of recipes and dishes as well as to the store design, packaging, and energy consumption at each location. The Bremerhaven-based company deliberately avoids the use of flavor enhancers, artificial flavors and genetically modified ingredients. Only fillets are used for the snacks and plate dishes.

NORDSEE - the pioneer

Since April 2021, NORDSEE has been the first fast food company to offer plant-based fish throughout Germany and Austria - after a six-week test phase. The two popular snack classics Backfisch-Baguette and Fisch & Chips have since been available without fish as the tasty "plant-based" variants "Backvisch-Baguette" and "Visch & Chips" with vegan remoulade sauce. With this, the fish experts once again acted as a "first mover" in the system gastronomy sector and occupied the topic of plant-based fish products as the first Quick Service Restaurant brand. NORDSEE is thus responding to the general consumer trend of increasingly seeking plant-based alternatives. Aspects such as sustainability, animal welfare, and climate change are the decisive arguments here. With the new plant-based products made from natural ingredients, NORDSEE can offer flexitarians in particular and also vegans a delicious alternative.
