McArthurGlen recognised for excellent commercialisation programmes

McArthurGlen won two awards at the 2016 British Council of Shopping Centres Opal Awards which were held on 20 April in London. The Opal Awards reward commercialisation within UK retail environments by recognising and showcasing the best examples in the marketplace.
McArthurGlen’s East Midlands Designer Outlet won in the Commercial Events category for its pop-up summer park. The outlet centre which has a long tradition of offering family entertainment during the summer school holidays, and was commended by the judges for "excellent planning, delivery and execution of a clean and seasonal event.”
McArthurGlen’s Swindon Designer Outlet won in the Mall Retail category for the kiosk ‘Greens The Belt Maker’. The centre went through significant refurbishment last year and the development of 'Greens The Belt Maker' was part of a wider objective to enhance the retail environment at the outlet.
