Micro Trends to Wear Now
Fresh from the last couple of seasons at Paris Fashion Week, we’ve got the scoop on the latest micro-trends worth adding to your wardrobe. The street style looks proved that apparel and accessories continue to feel creative – and here’s how to wear them for the long-run…
01
THE CROSSBODY BAG
this micro-trend goes sideways
Backpacks have had a huge fashion moment, so too has the humble satchel. Next up, the side bag. For this season’s It Bag must be worn proudly – to the side. Choose from thousands of options at your new Paris-Giverny centre because the only thing to look out for is that you can wear the bag across the body for a statement finishing touch. Inspired by the latest street style looks, you can go max or micro when it comes to the size. Opt for hard-wearing fabrics and choose a focal point whether that’s a chunky zip or maybe a logo label.
02
COLOUR POP
bye boring, hello rainbow. Bold colour is in
Sometimes womenswear feels a lot bolder and brighter than men’s choices. But now it’s time for us to have some fun when it comes to wardrobe options, too. Menswear is really seeing a colourful revival and we’re so here for it. Don’t be afraid to stand out – for all the right reasons – in a brightly coloured hero jacket or head-to-toe bold hues. We’ve seen statement red, fresh orange and even lilac from catwalk to street but roll with your favourite colour (blue? green? pink?) and build a new look around it. You can still mix in your go-to black clothes for versatility.

LEISURE LEAGUE
score in sports apparel this season
Bring classic sportswear off the pitch and work it into your everyday wardrobe. Whether you call it a varsity, letterman or baseball jacket, it’s hot and you need one (or several!) for the season and beyond. Add chunky trainers, logo caps and extra-large T-shirts too. There’s a 90’s American feel to the primary colours and retro logos we’re seeing around. For more inspiration, check out our AW22 Varsity Cool trend and take a preppy approach to your next relaxed outfit. You could pair a large bomber with chinos or go for cargo trousers rolled up to flash a sports sock.

LAIDBACK TAILORING
don't tell your tailor but relaxed looks great
Tailored looks are no longer reserved for formal occasions only. In Paris (and around the world), laidback tailoring feels fresh for now. Choose relaxed fits for the ultimate in smart-casual dressing. There’s slouchy, oversized key pieces, dropped shoulders, generous lengths and even sports-inspired details like the hood or a contrast stripe to inject a youthful element into today’s tailoring. Wear a deliberately baggy suit with cool trainers or mix and match with pleated trousers and a hoodie or a suit jacket with combat trousers. Try white in summer and winter, pastels for spring and darker tones for autumn. Looking good.
