With more than 20 years’ experience of developing, owning and managing designer outlets, McArthurGlen is the market leader in Europe with 25 centres in 10 countries. Home to the most sought-after luxury, designer and lifestyle brands, we offer our visitors year-round savings of up to 70%.
Scheduled to open in 2024/25, Remscheid Designer Outlet will be the group’s fourth centre in Germany after Berlin, Ochtrup (near Münster) and Neumünster (near Hamburg), making McArthurGlen the largest designer outlet operator in the country.
The €165 million centre will be built in Lennep, a district of Remscheid in the populous state of North Rhine-Westphalia, delivering a major new tourist destination for the region. It will create more than 800 new jobs, with opportunities for training in retail, customer service, languages and catering.
McArthurGlen’s second designer outlet in the region will feature over 120 brands in more than 27,000 square metres of GLA. The centre will include five cafes and restaurants, a children’s playground and green, and 2,500 parking spaces, ensuring the whole family can enjoy an exceptional shopping experience.
